Shout Out to Obama: Multi-Cultural R&B/Pop Group RefleXions Releases Viral Music Video and Single "Something's Gotta Change" Featuring Barack Obama

Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) August 5, 2008 -- RefleXions new music video "Something's Gotta Change" reflects the sentiment of the nation on more than one level. The timing for the release on YouTube brings it all together. Band leader and founder, Marcellus W.D. Crews describes the inspiration behind the song, "We originally wrote it three years ago. Looking around us and the people we knew, we felt hope for change was fading. Obama's message perfectly mirrors our lyrics." The three minute-plus music video will debut, August 6, 2008 on YouTube.

Originally set to be released on their upcoming album the group felt that now was the perfect time to put out the remix with Obama. "When we wrote it, it was our hope that others would relate to it. That others would also feel like something had to change and be moved to help that change along," Brazilian native Ariane Pereira explains. The group hopes that fans will not see it as a partisan campaign ad but as a gesture of patriotism.

Vocally flexible and musically diverse the band RefleXions brings a tight eclectic blend that is completely unique and reflective of all styles of music. Originally formed in 1991, by Marcellus W.D. Crews, Tenor, singer, writer, and producer, the Washington D.C. based group features the multi-dimensional harmony of Alto Shanna Carr, Soprano Ariane Pereira, Bass, writer, producer, arranger C. Wayde Bryant, and Baritone Rodney Johnson. Their positive lyrics reflect real issues that cover everything from relationships to global issues with a distinct R&B/Pop musical flavor. Their music has been described as Take 6 meets Black Eyed Peas.

The video is released through RefleXions LLC. Fans on Myspace can add it to their page. To view the video visit www.YouTube.com/reflexionsmusic. Fan websites include www.myspace.com/reflexionsmusic and www.friendster.com/reflexionsmusic.
